Albert Gallatin Mackey - The American Masonic Historian, was born at Charleston, South Carolina, March 12, 1807. He died at Fortress Monroe, Virginia, June 20, 1881. He served as Grand Secretary for the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina from 1842 - 1867.
